Doula Service Offerings

A doula can offer personalized support during several stages of life: pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, menopause, and end of life. They help provide emotional, physical and informational assistance, helping to create a positive and empowering birthing experience for the family.

  • Labour Doula
  • Postpartum Doula
  • End of Life Doula

Labour Doula Care

A Labour Doula supports families by providing education and support in preparation for labour. They attend the labour and birth and help with initial breastfeeding, and provide newborn care information and mental health resources and community referrals following the birth of the baby. Labour Doulas provide continuous, individualized support throughout the whole experience.

Postpartum Doula Care

Postpartum Doulas provide specific care in the postpartum period after the baby is born supporting the newborn parent and newborn baby in self care, and provide newborn care essentials and education, light housekeeping and meal preparation. The postpartum doula is contracted to work various hours and periods of time defined by the needs of the family.

End of Life Doula

An End of Life Doula, sometimes called a death doula or death midwife, supports those facing a life-limiting illness or diagnosis and their loved ones. The End of Life Doula can educate, advocate for, and empower clients by starting the conversation about death and embracing the dying process early. By aligning the client’s needs with their expectations and wishes, the End of Life Doula can significantly improve the quality and dignity of the end of life journey.

A pregnant person leans into their partner for support while a birth professional or doula provides physical comfort from behind—capturing a moment of connection, care, and continuous support during labor.
